Skyward Summit Is Out Now!

I'm excited to announce the release of my first Gameboy game, Skyward Summit! In this 2D platformer, you'll join brave Emma on a quest to the top of a mysterious mountain in search of a wish-granting item.

Skyward Summit features four short levels with a vertical orientation, challenging players to navigate through platforming obstacles as they make their way to the top of the mountain. To help with this, I've implemented a "coyote time" mechanic, which gives players a brief window of opportunity to jump after falling off a platform. This helps to make the platforming feel more fluid and responsive.

I've also tried to add elements of exploration and discovery to the game, with hidden paths and secrets to find as you play through the levels. While there are no collectibles in Skyward Summit, I hope that these secrets will give players a reason to come back and play through the game again.

As a first-time Gameboy game developer, I'm proud of what I've been able to accomplish with Skyward Summit. The vibrant graphics and compelling story help to immerse players in the world, and the intuitive controls make it easy to jump in and start playing. Most players should be able to complete the game in around 30 minutes, making it a perfect game to play in short bursts. This was my first crack at gbstudio has well!

One of the highlights of developing Skyward Summit has been the opportunity to work with Octolivvy, the creator of "Ribby: The Game." I was thrilled when Octolivvy agreed to let me include Ribby as a side character in Skyward Summit, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented developer.
